Simple red sauce for topping all sorts of noodles.

Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic minced
  • 3 oz Oil
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
  • Salt & Pepper

Method
 

  1. Brown the meat on medium heat
  2. Strain and add the garlic, onion, and oil
  3. When onions become soft and translucent, add the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Simmer for 20 minutes

Originally, this recipe called for using a splash of red table wine. I like to use sake instead. Since I don’t drink wine, I would have most of a bottle to drink before it goes bad while sake seems to keep way better.

This is such a basic recipe that you can add just about anything to change it even slightly. Different meats, veggies, and spices come to mind.

Such as: ground turkey, sausage, carrots, celery, cumin, paprika, and even lemon juice.

I have not tried any of these besides ground turkey.
