Simple homemade au jus for pairing with roast beef sandwiches.
Tri Tip Dip (the sauce)
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Tbsp Almond Flour
- 2 Cup Beef Broth
- Melt butter over medium heat.
- Slowly stir in flour before adding in the broth.
- Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
This is just a recreation of a sauce packet you can get from the store. The store bought sauce is thin and very salty, which tastes good, but is not as healthy as home made can do.
To enjoy au jus, simply dip roast beef sandwich (or other) into the dip and take a bite. I prefer having the sandwich toasted a little before adding the innards. As long as you don’t let the dip soak too much, you still get a good crunchy texture.
Much like a philly cheesesteak, you can add stuff to the middle, like caramelized onions and cheese.
