DIY Mozzarella Cheese Topping
- 2 part Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 part Cream Cheese
- Microwave for 30 seconds.
- Stir and shape into desired shape.
In my search for a way to cover foods with shredded cheese without it overflowing or melting off, I stumbled upon this way to make it. It has the texture of a mozzarella ball that is creamy as opposed to “grained” where you can peel off chunks.
This is very helpful for when you do like I do and overfill peppers or other stuffed bowl-like foods. With the cheese coating already formed in whatever way you form it, there is no difficulty topping the bowl. It goes excellently as a generic topping for meat. Pairs well with onion and a sweet sauce over ground beef or grilled chicken.
